Nach jahrelangen Experimenten ist es RIO gelungen ein Element zu entwickeln, das sechsmal mehr Auftriebskraft hat als jenes, das von den Mitbewerbern verwendet wird. Das Ergebnis sind Schnüre, deren Oberfläche fühlbar glatter ist. In der Praxis führt dies zur besseren Schnurkontrolle, weniger Verschleiß, Verschmutzung und Reibungswiderstand in den Ringen. Und für uns als Fliegenfischer zu weiteren Würfen.  Welded LoopsDurch RIO’s Pionierleistung wurde ein bahnbrechendes Verfahren zum Verschmelzen der Schnurenden zu Schlaufen entwickelt. Mit Schlaufen versehene Schnurspitzen schwimmen besser und ermöglichen ein schnelles Wechseln von Vorfächern. Es werden beinahe alle Schnüre (den Hinweis entnehmen Sie bitte dem jeweiligen Schnur-Diagramm) mit den Welded Loops geliefert.
